Checkpoint Charlie

Go back in time with a visit to Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin. This checkpoint was the only place where foreigners were allowed to cross between East and West Germany. During the Cold War, many daring escapes and tense standoffs between the US and the Soviet Union also occurred at Checkpoint Charlie. The iconic guardhouse has since been moved to the Allied Museum, but a replica stands in the original locations and is now a trendy tourist attraction.
