Built to be a major European capital city,
Copenhagen's waterfront is naturally at the center of city life. Right outside
of the Amalienborg Palace, you'll find plenty of shopping and dining along the
river. Back in the 18th century, the best place to be was right outside of the
palace, and that is still very much the case today. After watching the changing
of the guards, go for a stroll along the river and see what shops you'll
discover.
