Israel features some very rugged and harsh
natural areas. From giant craters to sweeping deserts, the country is filled
with scarcely or uninhabitable landscapes, including the Arava Valley. The
Arava Valley is a desert that stretches from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea. While
it is hardly habitable, the valley has some of the most sublime desert scenery
and has become a primary ecological site within the country!
