Russian Borscht Soup

The temperature can get pretty chilly in Russia, so soup is one of the best ways to stay warm. Borscht soup is a traditional Eastern European soup made with beef, cabbage, beets, and other vegetables. It's known for the beautiful ruby-red color that comes from adding beets. Despite its centuries-long history, there is no consistent recipe for borscht. Each Russian family cooks it their own way, passing on the secret from one generation to another.
