The Fun of City Centre

Known for being one of Lisbon's liveliest neighborhoods, Baixa truly is the center of the city. After an earthquake nearly destroyed part of the city in the 18th century, the Baixa neighborhood was rebuilt by the Marquis of Pombal. The stately Avenida da Liberdade and large squares are lined with great shops and restaurants that are always bustling during the day. There is most definitely no shortage of adventure in the Lisbon city center!
