Take a Road Trip outside of the small Villages of Florence

Florence isn't the only city you should visit while in the Tuscany region. If you want to truly experience Tuscany, hop in the car and take a road trip to some of the neighboring towns. Siena, San Gimignano, and Pisa, or you could pop over to the Umbria region and discover Assisi all are a short distance from Florence and well worth the trip. These medieval towns all feature impressive architecture and have fascinating histories and traditions that will charm any traveler.
