The Uffizi Gallery in Florence is one of the most visited art museums in Italy. Once the private collection of Francesco de Medici, the Uffizi Gallery is home to famous sculptures and paintings like Botticelli's Birth of Venus. As one of the oldest museums in the world, it is a popular attraction within the city, so be sure to visit early in the day or late in the afternoon while the museum is relatively empty.
